News from the Wedding Front

Well, we happily have lots of news to report. We have been busy busy busy with wedding planning and preparation! We were a bit stalled for a while, but we've started back up on things full force!

*Invitations*
We have designed, purchased supplies for, and started making our wedding invitations! Sara and I are working together on all aspects. Sara even went to the craft store with a friend (without me!). I consider that trip progress. :-) I can't tell you too much about the invitations because I don't want to give the design away. You will just have to see them when you get yours. My little sister, Jessica, has even helped with them.

*Cake*
We have found someone to make our cake. I asked her outright what her thoughts were on making a cake for a same-sex couple. She said that she's made cakes for committment ceremonies before and didn't have a problem with it. We will meet with her tomorrow to see if she is willing to make the design we have in mind. I'm sure that we can make some type of compromise. I'm actually looking forward to our meeting. I will keep you updated on the cake progress.

*Gift Registry*
We finally registered! At Target! We are super happy because we were able to choose two brides. Yay for Target!!! They had an option for "partner" also. I want to be a bride, and Sara said it would be weird if I was a bride and she was a "partner," so we are both brides. We had a lot of fun registering and were able to go without Logan - thanks Auntie Jessie. I was proud of us because we didn't even buy anything, even though Target is one of our favorite stores.
